Freedom
Fiesta celebrates its 41st anniversary beginning Thursday night, July 3, through Saturday, July 5, in Seguin's Central Park. This
event has grown since it originated in 1967 to be The Seguin Area
Chamber of Commerce’s primary fund-raising event. This event
offsets operating expenses for The Chamber and provides funds to
help promote the community.
This year’s Freedom Fiesta promises to be bigger and better
than ever. We will continue, as always, with a stellar lineup of well-known
musical acts for the three-day event, however this year, we will be
adding new activities to salute the military, celebrate our unique
sense of community, and bring Freedom Fiesta back to its roots – A
Celebration of America.
Some of
our planned activities include the second annual Battle of the Bands, Ice-n-Spice (an ice cream crankoff and hot sauce cookoff), live performance from KLRN's Cat Paws, jalapeno-eating challenge, food- and game booths, a washer-pitching tournament, static military displays and recognition of the sacrifices of our American soldiers.
In short, it is the goal of the entire Freedom Fiesta planning committee
to make the event become an Independence Day destination which offers
something for every member of the family, from the hardworking dad
who needs a cold one and some good country music to the kids who can
let off steam at the game booths, to the mom who just wants to sit under
a shade tree.
None of this would be possible without the support from our area businesses
and citizens.

year. Once you have decided on your level of interest in sponsoring
